“IF YA WANNA KNOW: LAWMAN STEALS FROM SONGWRITER. An engineering graduate student, Mark Dawson, takes time from his academic program and hitch-hikes from Cincinnati to Nashville to promote his songs.  On a rainy night, just outside of Nashville, he is a “hit and run” victim who is discovered by a Deputy Sheriff, Jeff Adkins. The officer notices the CDs labeled “Original Song” next to Mark’s motionless body and, being a “wanta be” in music circles, Jeff secures the CDs and transfers the comatose victim to a Nashville hospital. Mark is joined by his fiancé, Lora Burton, from Cincinnati and their struggle begins as the deputy, believing that Mark is deceased, performs the stolen songs publicly for a local agent. Markrecovers, prevails and signs a publishing contract.  The couple’s success is confirmed when they hear the title song being played on the radio as they drive home.  Weaving several original songs, available on YouTube, into this unique story is the basis for a musical that will have worldwide appeal to fans of country-pop.”  It’s as much about the songs as it is the story.
